Kristy McNichol is known for her roles in the movies Little Darlings and Only When I Laugh and for her parts in the TV shows Empty Nest and Family (she won two Emmys for her part there). She retired from acting 22 years ago when she was only 36 years old. She started out acting when she was only 11, so the fact that she grew tired of it is understandable. She didn’t retire completely from the business since she started giving out acting lessons at a private school in L.A. At 57, she still looks like a movie star.
