As of October 2018, the World Series has wrapped up and Joe Mauer is now a free agent. Mauer is now faced with the choice of either signing up again or retiring. At this point, he seems undecided. After 15 years in the MLB, it won’t be a surprise if he’d rather go into retirement. He takes with him many achievements, like being the only catcher in the history of MLB to have won three batting titles and also being the only catcher in the history of baseball to have won an American League batting title.
