Unlike most cliché storylines, the funny reel has a unique and refreshing story, cast, and most importantly, quality music.
Most part of the film is set in a cloistered Catholic convent, and a lounge singer, Deloris Van Cartier, is put under protective custody there. But unlike other nuns, she is not one to respect the rules and rebels against her holy surrounding.
