Pete Buttigieg became the first mayor of South Bend to get married in office when he tied the knot with Chasten Glezman in 2018. And in 2021, when they took to social media to celebrate their 3rd anniversary, they looked just as giddy as they had on their wedding day.
Pete, who served as the United States Secretary of Transportation in 2022, met his husband on a dating app in 2015. And they soon realized that they had so much in common both online and in person. So in a move straight from a romcom, Pete proposed to Chasten at the O’Hare Airport in Chicago where he’d been when they first started chatting. And luckily, he got a yes.
